Nutritional Therapy is an evidenced-based complementary medicine, aimed at maximising health through the introduction of a personalised nutrition and lifestyle plan. It is relevant for individuals
- wanting to address a medical condition and associated symptoms
- looking to enhance their overall health and wellbeing
Nutritional Therapy involves taking a comprehensive health history, analysis of dietary and lifestyle and where appropriate functional laboratory testing. This allows the Nutritional Therapist to identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns.
It is not recommended as a replacement for medical advice, but used to complement conventional healthcare with Nutritional Therapists often working alongside healthcare professionals involved in your care. Clients with health conditions or symptoms of concern (red flags) may be referred to their GP for medical checks.
